Google sheet does not have XLOOKUP, It has even better query function

XLOOKUP in Excel helps Lookup values in a range

Let's say we have salary data with Name and Birthday

Given a name we want to find salary and birthday, we can do this easily via XLOOKUP in Excel

We can do same in Google sheet using QUERY formula

Syntax is QUERY

Here data - The range of cells to perform the query on

query - The query to perform

The value for query must either be enclosed in quotation marks or be a reference to a cell containing the appropriate text

headers - - The number of header rows at the top of data

If omitted the value is guessed based on the content of data
