Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington delivered the 2025 inaugural prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. She urged President Donald Trump to have "mercy" for LGBTQ children and immigrants unlawfully in U.S.
Trump later told reporters "they could do much better" when asked about the service.
