How to Add a Torch Widget to your iPhone & iPad
An easy way to turn the flashlight on your iPhone or iPad on and off by creating a Torch shortcut and adding it to your Home screen as a widget.

To create a Torch Widget on your iPhone or iPad, start by opening the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap on the plus icon in the top right corner of the screen. In the search box at the bottom of the screen type Set Torch and tap the result under Scripting. Now tap on the word Turn and replace it with Toggle. You can also tap on the arrow to set the brightness level, which by default is only set to half.
You can rename your shortcut by tapping on the current name at the top of the screen here. And tapping the icon will allow you to change the symbol and the color of your shortcut. When you’re happy, click done.
Now you could just add your shortcut to the home screen as an app by tapping the information icon and choosing Add To Home Screen, but since we want to create a widget we’ll close this window, tap on done to finish the setup, and swipe to close the app. To create the widget, long press on a blank area of the home screen and click on the plus in the corner here. Either scroll or search for shortcuts and add the first single widget. By default the widget will display the first shortcut in your list. If that’s not the torch, tap the widget whilst still in edit mode to display the options, and you can choose the torch from your list of shortcuts.
