1932 picture disc: A Night With Paul Whiteman At The Biltmore (aka “Whiteman Medley”)
Entertaining two-sided medley of tunes, some of them Whiteman standards that he had popularized during the 1920s. The original-release picture disc was distributed to patrons of the New York Biltmore Hotel; and Victor reissued both tracks in 1937 on a regular black shellac 12-inch disc as “Whiteman Medley” (from which the posted audio was sourced).

The above scan shows one of RCA Victor’s special 12-inch 78rpm ‘picture disc’ releases with images covering the entire playing surface of both sides. To construct these, a shellac core was sandwiched between two illustrated sheets, which were then coated with clear plastic upon which the recording was pressed.
