Light armoured 4x4 scout car, produced by White Motor Company in US. Over 21 000 cars were built between 1939-44. After WW2, many countries bought the surplus vehicles and the M3 was used during the major part of the Cold war era. This particular car was captured during the UN mission in Kongo in the 1960s, the Swedish troops used it and other captured vehicles during the conflict.
6,25 tons, 13 mm armour and a top speed of 80 km/h. Range 400 km. The main armament was a .50 "Ma Deuce" Browning machine gun mounted behind the driver and usually 1-2 extra .30 M1919 machine guns.
