Gen AI Prompt Structure
Welcome to my lecture on the structure of prompts in Generative AI. While there is no strict syntax that must be followed when crafting prompts, there are several guidelines that can help improve their effectiveness. Broadly speaking, prompts can be categorized into two main components:
1. System Message: This part of the prompt lays the groundwork for the interaction. It can be further divided into:
1.1 Context: This provides background information or sets the scene for the AI's operation.
1.2 Instructions: These are directives that guide the AI’s response behavior.
2. User Message: This is the query or command directly posed by the user, seeking specific information or action from the AI.
In this lecture, we'll delve deeper into each category, exploring how you can leverage this structure to create prompts that offer more readability.
