[Akira AMV] Shout - Tears for Fears
Some background:
I had just moved to Seattle and had Tears for Fears stuck in my head: this song and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". I already knew that song would be good for Cowboy Bebop, but for this song, I don't think it was until I got into Seattle, and found the manga edition of Akira at a Japanese store, that I realized how perfect Akira was for it. To me, Seattle is very much like Neo Tokyo.
From there, I watched the movie several times as I put this AMV together, figuring out how to structure the video (because movies are much shorter than a full series). I was pretty much thinking of it constantly, out of inspiration, with audio-visual pairings popping up in my head constantly. I took notes down in my phone very often so I would not forget any ideas. It was a very time consuming but fun process.
