In this video, you will learn how to use Assemblies in Revit. Assemblies are a fantastic and extremely underutilized tool in Revit. Assemblies allow you to quickly document a set portion of your model by having Revit create views for you. The views and assembly are based on your selection and are saved in the project browser as an assembly (likely at the bottom of the project browser). The advantage of using assemblies is that Revit will save them together much like a group and quickly create usable views for documentation for you. You have the option of selecting what views you want Revit to create for you and if you want to apply a view template to them before the views are made. If you have something specific in your project you need to document, then assemblies may be the right choice. I would look to use them, on elements that need to be documented together but as a unit may be a bit stand alone. Give them a shot and let me know what you think below. Thanks for watching!
