First, we will guide you through the process of setting up an Airtable base linked to a new app created in Glide. By doing so, you can automatically generate a basic list based on the data available in Airtable. We will also show you how to adjust the display settings and choose a tile layout for easier image visualization, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and viewers.
But the functionality doesn't stop there. We will enable list addition, allowing users to upload images directly from their mobile phones. By connecting an image picker to the image column in the base, reporting and sharing issues becomes a breeze.
To keep everyone in the loop, we will also demonstrate how to set up Airtable automations to send Slack notifications each time a new photo is uploaded. This ensures that every photo uploaded by volunteers is stored as a new record in the base, and all team members are promptly notified via Slack.
