The Darkest Manga Ever Written | Berserk
Today we take a look at Kentaro Miura's smash hit manga Berserk. Born in Chiba City, Chiba prefecture Japan. Miura first started working on Berserk when he was only in high school. Miura started his career in manga while working as an assistant for manga author Buronson. It was during this time that Miura would work as an illustrator for such series as The King of Wolves, Ore Den, and Japan to name a few. Miura would continue to work on Berserk. Eventually Miura would complete a 48 page prototype. This prototype was received so well that Miura would start on the first official chapter of Berserk. Berserk debuted in Hakusensha's monthly animal house on August 25th, 1989. To this day Berserk is regarded as one of the best and one of the most important manga's ever written. Many creators have cited Miura and Berserk as inspirations for their own work. Berserk has influenced countless mangas, games, comics, shows and films.
