Hello, guys namaste welcome back to Androtrix. Instagram has been releasing new features a day in and out. Especially if you're in the beta version you would be getting daily updates about it. Recently they launched the Instagram music feature but it is not available in India as of now. I'm sure you would have come across some stories of people where they have used the Instagram music feature and you would see the following error.
Well, don't worry, that changes today. In this video, I'm gonna show you how you can use the Instagram stories feature in India.
First off, let me explain to you why this is currently not available in India, Instagram has to buy the licenses to play the songs or allow its users to play the songs on Instagram. All these license deals are geo-restricted which means Instagram has to get the license for each country separately. So far, they have the licenses to play music only in the following countries. Namely, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the U.S
Also, all these deals take a lot of time to crack and it's safe to assume that India wouldn't be getting this feature anytime soon. So, rather than waiting for them to act, I'll help you get that feature on your own.
So here are the steps to get the Instagram music feature on your device.
First, uninstall the application from your smartphone.
Second, install any VPN of your choice which supports the region which I have mentioned earlier. I personally use the Surf Easy application. It's free and has all the countries mentioned earlier.
Here's the list again for your reference.
Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the U.S
Now turn on the VPN to any of those countries and install the Instagram app again.
As Instagram would detect your country to be a country where the feature is already enabled, you'll automatically get access to that feature. You are basically bypassing the geo-restriction and you'll be able to get the feature without any problems.
You can use this feature directly by recording it or you can upload an image and use the sticker to put a song on that image.

Also, people won't be able to listen to the songs if you put it up as a story but they can listen to the songs via DM.
