Working with HBase on Hadoop Cluster [Activity] | HBase Hadoop Tutorial | Lecture 24
This lecture is all about working with HBase on our Hadoop Cluster installed on HDP Sandbox where we have created HBase table and loaded the data using Pig script by integrating the Pig with HBase on our Hadoop Cluster. We have downloaded the required files from the below commands from remote Git repo and uploaded to HDFS, then we have started the HBase services on our HDP Sandbox and ran the Pig Script on the cluster.

hadoop fs -mkdir /user/maria_dev/pig

In the previous lecture we have seen HBase which is a NoSQL Database for Hadoop Cluster which is built on top of Hadoop HDFS for storage and primarily bases on Google's Big Table. We have seen what is HBase?, Why we use HBase?, where does HBase sits on Hadoop Ecosystem, some basic features of HBase along with its detailed architecture.
