Adobe Premiere Pro Tutorial - Send Audio Effects
Learn how to use 'Send' Effects in Adobe Premiere Pro to create exciting audio effects with full control over how the sound flows back into your final mix!
In Premiere Pro, all audio flows from the clips on your timeline into their dedicated audio channel. From this audio channel, the audio then flows into the Master track and then out your speakers.
'Insert' effects are applied to your audio as it enters an audio channel. This means that the effect alters the original signal before it continues to flow through towards your output. This is great for effects such as EQ or compression.
Some effects however, like Reverb, Delay, Chorus or Flanger, modifying the original audio is not desirable. These sort of effects are much better 'added on top of' your original audio.
When you add an effect as a 'Send' effect, a copy of the original audio is 'sent' to an auxiliary track where the actual effect is then applied. Only the copy of the original audio is modified!
The auxiliary FX track can then be mixed into your final audio, re-routed to other channels or have tons and tons of other effect applied to it.
Using 'Send' audio effects gives you a lot of control over your audio and in this tutorial I will show you how to use them in Adobe Premiere Pro.
