I found some old canvases covered with backgrounds that were probably failed paintings. Instead of re-stretching them, I decided to play around and see what happens.
I started with a beautiful purple-toned canvas and added some permanent violet dark and alizarin crimson to make it vibrant. I also played with gold highlights and spray paint, which added a surprising and chic touch. The combination of gold and crimson turned out to be very elegant.
And I love the Foggy look the spraypaint gave!
Throughout the process, I kept feeling like something was missing, so I added white for contrast and experimented with different shades. In the end, I even used spray paint to create a unique Mist effect.
I'm thrilled with the final result. It's a simple but chic botanical abstract painting with a color palette that's quite different for me. I hope you enjoy watching the transformation as much as I enjoyed creating it.
