The Home Secretary brought together ministers, senior figures from the Border Force and National Crime Agency to restate her commitment to crack down on trafficking gangs, three days after 12 people, including six children, died as their boat sank while trying to cross the channel.
Also today, a van driver, who was caught attempting to smuggle seven Vietnamese people into the UK - nearly suffocating them - was jailed for 10 years.
