The C Bechstein grand piano that lived at Trident Studios in London from 1968 is potentially the most noteworthy single instrument of the 20th century. When I first found out about this piano's role in so many of the 1970s most iconic recordings I couldn't believe that I hadn't already heard about it! In this video I do my best to piece together the limited amount of reliable information there is about this piano so I can document the legacy of the Trident Piano!
❗️CORRECTION: As a couple people have noted in the comments, I got the date wrong for Elton John's "Madman Across The Water" album. It was released in 1971, not 1972. Sorry for any confusion.

Also, thanks to Adam for enlightening me to the Trident piano’s existence. After he told me about it I spent the rest of the day researching it and, by the end of the day, I had a script!
