How to record your screen with Camtasia Studio 9 - Tutorial for Beginners | PART 1
This is a real quick tutorial that shows you how to record your screen using camtasia studio 9

1 what's up people you got mark with mcguire's tutorials here I wanted to shoot a quick
2 video to show you how to do a screen recording using camtasia studio 9
3 first your going to click on new project

5 now once camtasia opens up your going to record in the
6 upper left corner your going to click here
7 than your going to get a window
8 that pops up in here your going to be given option as to whether you want to
9 customize your screen recording or if you wanted to do
10 a full screen record now usually by default full screen
11 record will be automatically selected for you and
12 as you can see the dot right here illustrates that full screen
13 is selected and also you have a outline
14 high lighting your full screen letting you know that your doing a
15 full screen capture now if you wanted to customize your screen
16 you can just click on customize and as you can see by the high lighted
17 area this is the area that you will be
18 recording that you will be capturing now you can minimize this window you
19 can make it as small or as big as you want to you can also
20 unlock the aspect ratio and you can drag this down
21 so this is something that you play with based on what ever project that
22 your working on or what ever you want your audience to focus on
23 me I usually just select the full screen
24 than you click on record
25 camtasia is going to give you a count down window
26 and now your recording your full
27 screen with camtasia now if you go down into your task bar
28 what use to say record that
29 window that did say record now say's
30 your this is showing that your actually
31 recording now with camtasia this is your elapsed time showing that your live
32 here you have the option to
33 delete the video right away for any reason like if you mess up make a mistake
34 you also have the option to pause for whatever reason and you can pick up
35 and take off exactly where you left off at
36 once your finish with your video and your happy with everything you
37 just click on stop
38 now once you click stop your not going
39 to have to do anything else this your video
40 capture that you just did is automatically going to populate in
41 to camtasia's timeline this is where your going to edit and
42 cut your video like anything that you wanted to
43 cut out to make the video go smoother this is where you do all of your
44 editing here in the time line and that's how you do a screen recording
