Does the First Amendment go too far?
A new survey found one-third of Americans think the First Amendment goes too far. Pollsters asked people to choose from a list of controversial statements and if it should be illegal to say those things. Fifty-two percent of respondents said their community shouldn’t allow a protest espousing an offensive view, and more than two-thirds said local colleges shouldn’t hire teachers who’ve made offensive statements. #FirstAmendment #freespeech #poll
