Namor, the Atlantean King, has been a character in Marvel Comics since 1939. But Namor in the MCU is not from Atlantis... Or is he? With the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever only 2 days away, I wanted to explain the history of the Kingdom of Atlantis and what Kevin Feige's plan is for it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
▸ Atlantis was an Island in the center of the Atlantic Ocean, which sank approximately 20,000 years ago during the Great Cataclysm. Now residing at the bottom of the sea, Atlantis is home to the water-breathing race of Atlanteans and is ruled by the Atlantean Royal Family.
