this attempt was inspired by an old instagram video taken by one of my favorite people in the whole world — who would've thought that we both liked steven universe when we were younger? (i'm sure fans of the show are quite common, i just didn't personally know all that many myself haha)
i remember wanting to do a cover of this childhood classic for quite some time now, but i never really got around to it — perhaps i thought i couldn't do it justice, who knows? fast forward to nearly a full decade later, however, and i found myself drawn to this song yet again for some reason, and i couldn't help but want to finally try my hand (or mouth in this case haha) at covering it. i desperately hope that the little twists i added in made it somewhat more enjoyable huhu
the guitar played in this video is my Fender Newporter Player in its natural variation, with my singing and playing being picked up by the built-in microphone of an iPhone XS Max.
