In this video, we'll be demonstrating how to resolve the "Status Error 2810 : bpbrm cannot start nbfsd on mediaserver" issue on a Veritas NetBackup installation.
This problem can occur when the NetBackup installation lacks the required permissions on the media share where the nbfsd service is running. Solution
Stop NFS Redirector using the command:
"sc stop NfsRdr"
Start "Client for NFS" service using the command:
"nfsadmin client start"
To prevent the error, when restarting the Client for NFS service, from a command prompt, use the command 'nfsadmin client stop' to correctly shut down both the "Client for NFS" service and the "Client for NFS Redirector".
