All-new 2024 Geely LEVC L380 - Best Luxury Van Chinese VW ID Buzz
Geely-owned LEVC, has Revealed the new L380, a large pure electric MPV, in Wuzhen, China. This new model stands out for its flexible seating configuration, accommodating between 3 and 8 seats. The L380 is available in four variants, with prices ranging from $52,300 to $66,050.
The LEVC L380 is the first model built by the Geely Group based on the SOA space-oriented architecture platform and is also LEVC's first model for mass users. The new LEVC L380 features a new design language, including a large closed panel on the front, intermittent through-type LED daytime running lights, and integrated LED high and low-beam headlights at the bottom. The front of the new l380 also includes a relatively inclined A-pillar and a small triangular window.
The overall side profile of the all-new LEVC L380 is effortless, with black window trim and roof creating a contrast effect with the body. The vehicle features pop-up hidden door handles and closed 18-inch rims. The fast and slow charging ports are behind the main driver's side. The new L380 has four exterior paint colors: pearl white, black jade, sapphire blue, and ice jade.
The dimensions of the LEVC L380 are 5316 mm in length, 1998 mm in width, and 1940 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3185 mm.
At the rear, the 2024 LEVC L380 features a through-type taillight group, which presents a fan-shaped radiation pattern on both sides when lit. Additionally, the lower edge of the tailgate is positioned lower to ensure a larger opening area and ease of loading and unloading items.
In terms of interior, the LEVC L380 features an LCD instrument panel and a large floating infotainment screen. The drive selector is mounted on a steering wheel stalk rather than the center console. Running the user experience is the L-OS, a digital platform technology that spans from chip to cloud. At its core is the Antora 1000 Pro chip from eCarX, with 16 TOPS computing power, providing high functionality and a variety of content. The L-OS system creates a complete digital operating system, integrating driver-assistance systems with the intelligent cockpit.
The second row of the Geely LEVC L380 features dual independent seats, with an independent function control LCD screen located at the armrest. Controllable functions include multimedia, car refrigerator, lights, sunroof/sunshade, side sliding door opening and closing, windows, seats, wireless charging switch, in-car calls, and rear air conditioning.
The three-row, six-seat version of the LEVC L380 is equipped with two independent seats and a foldable middle armrest, with the seat cushions having an extended length for added comfort. In addition to the six-seat model, the LEVC L380 also offers four-seat and eight-seat versions for users to choose from.
in terms of power, The single-motor versions of the LEVC L380 use a 200 kW motor located on the front axle, which is somewhat surprising. The dual motor versions add another 200 kW motor to the rear axle, with each motor providing a peak torque of 343 Nm. The dual-motor version can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. The L380 offers three battery pack capacities: 100 kWh, 116 kWh, and 140 kWh. The 140 kWh pack features CATL’s 3.0 Qilin battery with an energy density of 200 Wh/kg, providing a range of 512 miles or 819 km according to the CLTC. This battery can add 350 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.
The LEVC L380 is equipped with eleven airbags throughout the interior, making it the only model in its class with airbags for all three rows of passengers. The side curtain airbag alone has a volume of 112 liters per side.
Sales of the L380 will initially be limited to China, but the vehicle has been designed with exports in mind. Sales are set to commence in the UK within the next two years.
