Deploying Node applications to the cloud is really easy with the Heroku CLI, or command line interface. We will show you how, by running just a few commands in your local terminal:
Requires Node.js and npm;
Open a POSIX Terminal (GNU/Linux or MacOS);
Clone a Git repository that contains a Node app, such as Heroku’s the nodejs-getting-started and move into the newly created local repo directory;
Create a local Heroku app with the heroku apps:create command so that the basic Git workflow is automatically incorporated to the app directory;
Create or edit the package.json dependencies file, and define the start script;
Push your changes to the heroku remote to trigger an automatic deployment;
You may now open the app in a browser with heroku apps:open.
