It all began in 1988, when young Darnel Torrence lost his parents and vanished, claiming that a 7ft humanoid lizard was responsible. The sensational tale turned the town into a tourist attraction, but as the years passed, the myth faded into obscurity.
Now, in the present day, a group of five backpackers on their way to Miami decide to camp by the infamous Lizard Man Lake. Sidney, a herpetology student, hopes to uncover the truth behind the legend for her research. Despite warnings from local Cleetus, the group ventures deeper into the woods—only to come face to face with the nightmare that has lurked in the shadows for over 30 years. One by one, they disappear… Their only hope? Finding Darnel, the sole survivor of the past attacks, before it’s too late.
