Before installing OpenOffice first check that
LibreOffice is installed in your system. If yes, uninstall it by the below command.
sudo apt-get remove LibreOffice*
open to Apache OpenOffice installation folder and to its DEBS folder, Install all packages using the belw command.
sudo dpkg -i .
than install the desktop integration. Go to desktop-integration in the installation folder, and install it
After successfully installed all the packages , open Openoffice using below command.
openoffice4
