Few experiences take your breath away like walking up to the rim of the Grand Canyon, and that sense of awe has been shared among peoples for thousands of years.
The Grand Canyon holds special significance for Alan as a one of the places where he fell in love with running, and this past October Alan got the chance to experience a rim-to-rim run with Diné runner Brandon Dugi! In addition to being a photographer, author and sponsored HOKA athlete, Brandon is a high school running coach and passionate advocate for Native runners. As someone who grew up on the edge of the canyon and who has a deep cultural connection to the place, Brandon is the perfect running partner for exploring such an incredible and meaningful place.
