One thing I noticed while breaking down this shot is that very little anticipation is used, and, when it is, it's very subtle. Considering the tone of the movie and story, this makes sense. It's a very somber, serious movie, and the character of Moses doesn't need to overact. On the other hand, the comedic relief characters in the movie (forget their names, but they're the Pharaoh's henchmen) may overact more to fit their roll as "clowns."
