4TH Grade Secular Homeschool Literature
We are a secular homeschool and all are welcome here. No curriculum is off the table if I think it is useful to us. We do not use a formal, all--encompassing curriculum for Language Arts and this means I willingly take the sole responsibility of building my daughter's reading and literature studies. I take this very seriously and I want to make certain I show her the full freedom of a very wide array of genres, styles and grade-levels of books. I break our reading and literature down into 4 main categories. And I also discuss how poetry will begin to play a role in introducing us to playwrights, critical understanding of plays and poetry, and ultimately reviewing major works as well as attending theatre productions.
