Generate Script in SQL | Restore SQL Server 2014 Database in 2008 r2 | Swift Learn
If you want to restore SQL Server 2014 database in SQL Server 2008 or other lower version this tutorial is for you. in this tutorial i will demonstrate you how to perform this task in easy way.
Usually we need to restore database from lower version to upper version. its easy to restore database from lower version to upper version. but sometime we need to restore database from upper version to lower version what is not allowed to restore database from upper version to lower version.
So there is an option which helps you to restore database from upper version to lower version easily.
Just follow these steps.
1. Run SQL Server 2014
2. Generate script with selecting the restore version - SQL Server 2008 r2
3. Run SQL Server 2008 r2.
4. Open script in SQL Server 2008 r2.
5. Replace location where the .mdf and .ldf will be created.
6. Execute.
