Get connected to Asset Framework (AF) using PI System Explorer (PSE). Connect to your AF Server, create an AF database, and set a default Data Archive.
[00:24] LAUNCH PI SYSTEM EXPLORER, THE CLIENT FOR ASSET FRAMEWORK
[01:18] Error if default AF Server was not specified during PSE installation
[01:47] Error if AF Server only contains Configuration database
[01:59] Error if you do not have access rights to view or create any databases
[02:20] CONNECT PSE TO AF SERVER
[02:44] Add AF Server
[03:43] Error if hostname is not resolvable
[04:04] Error if AF Server machine is turned off or if AF Server Application is not running
[04:19] Error if Windows Integrated Security credentials do not have enough permissions on the AF Server
[04:44] Set default AF Server
[04:56] CREATE NEW AF DATABASE AND CONFIGURE AS DEFAULT DATABASE
[06:02] CONNECT TO PSE TO DATA ARCHIVE AND SET AS DEFAULT
