Because Arkansas Children’s is a referral center for the state and region, our high patient volumes allow us to give our fellows numerous clinical and research experiences. On the clinical side, our fellows gain extensive training in all aspects of pulmonary medicine including:
Inpatient and outpatient care
Care of the mechanically ventilated child
Interstitial lung disease and bronchoscopy
and training in the lab
We work with many multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital, and pulmonology at Arkansas Children’s was recently nationally ranked as having a top pediatric pulmonary program in the nation.
