Two days ago, WE CHASED! I got out west of Phoenix, along Salome Highway where I intercepted a line of low-based storms moving kinda north/northeast.
At a point near the end, I get his by some blowing dust and it's a bit weird. Before that it was pouring rain and some wind. Suddenly I get slammed by some swirling dust and the rain almost stops, then I go back into rain. It actually pushed me over the center stripe it was so unexpected.
Unsure if it was just a very localized, micro downburst, or something like an embedded tornado or circulation of some kind.
Regardless, it was fun to get out!
