In this tutorial, you will learn how to switch tabs with keyboard in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge on Windows and Mac.
Method 1: On Windows
Open multiple tabs in your web browser. Press Ctrl+Tab keys together to go to the next open tab. Press Ctrl+Shift+Tab keys together to go to the previous open tab. Press Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+9 to go to a tab by number. Press Ctrl+Shift+t to re-open the last closed tab.
Method 2: On Mac
Open multiple tabs in your web browser. Press Control+Tab keys to go to the next open tab. Press Command+Option+right arrow keys to go to the next open tab (in Chrome and Firefox). Press Control+Shift+Tab keys to go to the previous open tab. Press Command+Option+left arrow to go to the previous open tab (in Chrome and Firefox). Press Command+1 through Command+9 to go to a tab by number. Press Command+Shift+t to re-open the last closed tab.
