What Yael Shvetz thought was a terrible migraine, was actually a rare, hemorrhagic stroke. Yael was placed in a medically induced coma for 10 days. When she woke up, she needed intensive rehab to learn how to walk, talk, and take care of herself again. Today, she is sharing her story in hopes to inspire others to prioritize their well-being and learn the signs and symptoms of stroke. Yael is a member of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women 2023 Real women Class of Survivors.
