This video shows the screening at a wastewater treatment plant. This is the first of two video which shows the coarse hand cleaned screening. As expected the head loss is low due the high spacing beetween bars which is usually from 4 cm to 10 cm. The use of coarse screens is normally employed with the purpose to protect the fine screens located downstream.
