In this video, I cover four things I wish I knew before I switched from console to PC. For those of you who don't know, yes, I used to play on console. I actually started playing Fortnite on PS4 back in December 2017. I played on console and controller for about 6 months until I decided I wanted to switch to keyboard and mouse. I had always been interested in learning to play on keyboard and mouse and felt that controller was holding me back. So I went and bought a mouse, mousepad, and keyboard and started using those peripherals on console. That lasted for about a month and a half before I decided to go all in and build a PC. After a full year on PC, I must say, it was the best decision of my life. Playing Fortnite on higher frames and a higher refresh monitor on PC has made a huge difference. The game is smoother, feels better, and I have become a much better player overall. I was also lucky enough to start a YouTube channel you guys all support. However, if I could go back, there were a few things I would have done differently and wish I knew before switching. These mainly have to do with things like keybinds, settings, positioning my hands and fingers, how I practiced, and the overall journey of switching from console and controller to keyboard and mouse on PC. If you're currently making the switch yourself or are interested in making it, then this video will definitely help you improve on keyboard and mouse. Hopefully the tips and tricks I share as well as the progression I show from PC to console will help you guys out!
