Eating Disorders Across Transgender and GenderDiverse Populations (encore) | Equip Academy
Eating disorders affect people across the gender spectrum–in fact, they disproportionately affect transgender and non-conforming (TGNC) folks. For example, transgender college students are 4x more likely to have an eating disorder diagnosis. This presentation, which focuses on building knowledge and competency for treating eating disorders within this population, includes an overview on terminology, risk factors, and symptoms. The presenters also provide general strategies for assessing and treating eating disorders through an intersectional lens.
