How to Make DELICIOUS Beef Short Ribs...

These Beef Short Ribs are melt in your mouth delicious and are pretty easy to make. I served them over garlic mashed potatoes with a side of broccoli. 🥦

So how do you make them? I got you covered - follow the steps below and SAVE this reel so you can cook it for dinner tonight. Best part about this recipe is that it gets better the next day (meat continues to absorb flavor and gets softer).

INGREDIENTS
Beef Short Ribs ( I bought two packets of 3 ribs - six in total).
1 Large White Onion 🧅
2 Big Carrots 🥕
3 Celery Stalks
4 Cloves Garlic 🧄
5 Potatoes 🥔
1 Broccoli 🥦
2 cups of Red Wine 🍷
2 cups of Beef Broth
2 bay leaves 🍂
A few shakes of Worcestershire Sauce
Spring Onion to Garnish
Butter
Olive Oil

Score the ribs and rub generously with salt and pepper, let sit for a while at room temp. Get a Dutch oven on medium high heat. Add olive oil ( a good amount). Add short ribs to oil, meat side down first, brown but don’t burn, sear on all sides. This locks in the delicious flavor, a seared seal of sorts.

Once you’re seared all ribs remove to a plate, and scrape the bits from the bottom of the pan, this is all the flavor you’ll use as the base to build the sauce. Add chopped onion on medium heat, cook until translucent. Then add your chopped celery, and a little later your carrot. Then add garlic. Cook until the carrot begins to soften, don’t let it sit and burn though!

Add your tomato paste, stir that shiz. Then add 2 cups of red wine, and 2 cups of beef stock. Pour yourself of glass of red, because it’s beef short ribs night and you deserve it! If you don’t want to cook with alcohol, then replace the two cups of wine with two more cups of beef broth.

Bring to a boil, then back down to a simmer and add a bay leaf. Cover with lid and into the oven at 175C/350F. ( is it just me or is everything cooked at this temperature?!)

Leave that little pot of Joy in the oven for at least two and a half hours, best for 3 to 3 1/2 and make sure your check on it every half hour, to ladle the sauce over the beef and make sure nothing is burning.

Serve over garlic mashed potatoes w steamed broccoli. Enjoy!
