Bengal cat:
A hybrid of a domestic and wild Bengal cat. In 1961, an American geneticist biologist Jean Mill, who was engaged in cat breeding, went on a business trip to Bangkok, where she saw little wild Bengal kittens at the local market. The character of Bengal cats combines the temperaments of a wild beast and a pet. From their wild relatives, these cats received not only color, but also impressive size: they are much larger than ordinary domestic cats. Bengal cats are quick-witted and well-trained.
Sphinx:
One of several hairless cat breeds. The reason for the loss of wool by the ancestors of this breed, however, like all other sphinx breeds, is unclear. Most likely, this is due to single natural mutations, which were subsequently maintained and preserved in the offspring through selection. Sphinxes are very affectionate and intelligent, but still their further behavior depends on the upbringing of people. They are easy to train and have a good memory. Cats of this breed do not tolerate loneliness and are usually very attached to their owners.
Persian cat:
Longhair cat breed, one of the oldest and most popular in the world. Its history is a little vague. In the 17th century, Pietro della Valle brought the cat from Persia to Italy to be included in the breeding program. This cat may have been a cat known in Persia as the sand cat (velvet cat) that lived in the desert. In the 19th century, Persian cats were the favorites of the European nobility. They are regal and very proud animals with dignity. Due to their long soft fur and flat muzzle, Persians look like toys.
British Shorthair :
British Shorthair cats are a traditional English breed and the pride of Great Britain. The "father" of the breed can be called Harrison Vier, who is considered the first professional cat breeder. Garrison took a humble street cat from the UK and through an intensive breeding program transformed it into a purebred breed that he called British. British cats are quite calm animals, they have a well-developed sense of self-esteem and high intelligence.
Maine Coon:
Cats first appeared in the US state of Maine, but there is no exact indication at what time in history people first noticed them. The mention of this breed dates back to 1861, where representatives of the Maine Coons took part in the exhibition and were very popular at that time. The breed was formed naturally under the influence of the harsh climatic conditions of Maine, although there are "alternative" versions of the origin of the Maine Coon, for example, that this breed was brought by sailors.
