PS: FG has rebased the repository since this video, which removed the FBX SDK due to license restrictions. This means you currently will have to hunt down the FBX SDK 2012 version to successfully compile the engine.

I use Arch Linux 5.8.8 in this video, with Cinnamon 4.6.7.

Here's that neat command I used towards the end to recreate symlinks (credits to Robert):
for f in `file * | grep ASCII | cut -d: -f1`; do ln -fs `cut -d' ' -f2 $f` $f; done
