I'm reaching out to you with a plea from the beautiful islands of Hawaii. For the past two years, I've poured my heart and soul into transforming a Mercedes Sprinter van into a recording studio and songwriting space, with the aim of taking artists to the breathtaking beaches of Hawaii. I wanted to capture the essence and beauty of these locations to create amazing content for YouTube and Instagram, showcasing the magic of Hawaii.
However, I've faced some financial setbacks along the way, and now the van has been repossessed. It's been a tough journey, filled with mechanical issues and loan payment difficulties. That's why I've decided to create a GoFundMe page and share this video, hoping to raise $6,000 to redeem the van and keep this dream alive.
Imagine the joy of having a mobile recording studio amidst the serene landscapes of Hawaii, where artists can draw inspiration from the ocean waves and golden sands. I also envision renting out the van to anyone who wants to experience the incredible songwriting environment Hawaii has to offer. I won't charge by the hour or anything like that – it's a fair 50/50 split in royalties.
My idea was for the van to sustain itself through YouTube content, Instagram, live streams, and even performances during tough times. I've poured my heart into this project, documenting every step on Instagram for the past two years. You can easily follow the story there and see how this vision unfolded.
Currently, I'm in negotiations with a potential buyer who's interested in purchasing the van without even seeing it. They're willing to pay off the loan, and I'm extremely grateful for their offer. Today was supposed to be the day when we finalized the deal. However, miscommunications between the bank and the repossession service led to the van being sent to an auction without my knowledge. Everything inside the van has been emptied, and I'm left with no clue about its current state. The bank had no idea this was happening either.
I managed to request a hold until June 12th, giving us a small window of opportunity to save the van. This video is my last resort to seek support and determine if this idea resonates with you. If, unfortunately, we don't reach the goal, it's not the end of the world. I still find this idea incredibly cool, and once my financial situation improves, I might give it another shot with a smaller van and a different style. But right now, I need your help.
