Ten years ago to this day... it began. And less than a week after the Nutshell was published, it ended... even if we would not know the truth about it for another six months.
Shortly after the truth was revealed, I actually began work on this. All the narration was recorded almost immediately on short notice, but it took this long to finish the actual GMod stuff due to a mixture of business, procrastination, and slowly but surely learning how to improve my GMod work.
Yes, I do realize this so-called "epilogue" turned out half a minute longer than the original nutshell. Well, to that, I'd say that the actual "epilogue" ends after the narrator quits, which is only about a minute into the video. The rest is a tribute.
I'll be the first to admit that the Dino Attack was not an example of fine literature. It was flawed, cliche, and nonsensical at times, and so we were willing to make fun of ourselves for it (i.e. the original nutshell). But, it was something we had fun making, and we spent years making it. And to see most of it erased through no fault of our own, just because a hacker had some petty issues with the host website...
Originally, the end of this video had a greater focus on the GRN Spy, but I decided that was not fitting for a ten year tribute to the Dino Attack. Why give him even more attention than he deserves? Instead, the ending was reworked to reflect the archive collected by myself and Andrewnuva199, saving whatever we could of the story. In the end, we will persevere.
To whom it may concern, I will worship the ground on which you stand if you were to have a change of heart and return to us what you have stolen. But until then, know this: you cannot take everything from us. We will continue to fondly remember the Dino Attack, with all the laughs and cringes that came with it. You cannot win through destruction. We will persevere.
And that is why Peabody Pyro gets the last laugh.
