ARCHIVE: Woodstock '99 descends into chaos
An estimated 220,000 people came to Central New York in July 1999 for the four-day Woodstock '99 music festival at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. The festival was marred by violence, scorching heat, overcrowding, limited access to water and a slew of other issues. By the final night, the event had descended into chaos with rioting and fires. This video features News Source 13's coverage of the event in conjunction with ABC News from July 22-26, 1999.
