The Athonian Tunnel Rats are one of my favourites Astra Militarum Regiments, hailing from planet Athonos, that used to be a Necron tomb world, Noble families fight for political power every single day, and upon making planetfall, Imperial officers will often find out that the Planetary Governor is different, as gang warfare is permanent and brutal, the gangers of yesterday, are formed into Tunnel Rats regiments the next, bringin all the savagery and underworld expertise of the gangers to the Imperial Guard, mostly deployed to quell underhives and hive cities and Tunnels, caves and intense combat with the dangerous threats that dwell in the deep, Chaos Cults, Xenos, Tyranids and who knows what, if there is something to hit, there is something to take, thats good for business they say in my outfit!.
