Qu-Pad Router Setup:
To connect Qu-Pad to your Qu mixer you will need a wireless router or access point. For optimum speed and performance we recommend that you use a good specification router. Dual band and auto channel select are recommended as they will maximise wireless coverage and reliability.
Most routers will allocate an IP address to the mixer and iPad automatically. In order for this to work, make sure DHCP is enabled in the Setup / Control / Network screen.
Should you need to use static IP addresses instead for any reason, check that the mixer, router and iPad are all set to unique and compatible addresses within the same subnet. A typical example is displayed here.
To change the router settings you will need to connect it to a PC or Mac using a Cat5 Ethernet cable, and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Ensure that the iPad Wi-Fi is turned On and your network is selected. For security we recommend you password protect the router to keep your mixer private from other portable devices. Check for good signal strength. If you have low Wi-Fi signal or the wireless drops out, try positioning the router within line of sight of your iPad. To prevent interference from other devices, try selecting another Wi-Fi channel if an auto option is not available in your router.
Finally, make sure you have the latest version of Qu-Pad installed and that this matches the mixer firmware version as displayed in the mixer Home screen.
