So I wasn't planning to upload this yet as I have so many older edits I wanted to get out first, but I finished it just before my birthday and I watched it tonight and thought I had to upload it next! I am so super proud of this edit - and those of you that have followed me and my channel for a while will know that I never used to be and I'm very ocd about how I'll finish things - and I love every second of it! So I hope you all do too, although I would like to state clearly here - tissue warning!
I honestly cannot wait for Series 3 and I have been trying to tick so many edits I wanted to make for Series 2 off my list and none of them were having it and then suddenly this one came out of nowhere - the longest of them all and just kinda happened.
I really wanted to stick simple and eerie - so yes, in places (especially with the b&w) the colouring is a bit dark, but I wanted that effect and I think it really works. Same with the voiceovers, I really wanted to make the echos and atmosphere with different volumes, so all of those are deliberate choices.
I know this song has been used for a lot of edits, but I've never used it and that is always my justification for any popular or commonly used song!
