GitLab Runner Not Working Reason & Solution 3 - Untagged Runner - Practical & Theory
In this video we will see reason no 3 of gitlab runner is not working. We will see that why a runner is not picking up any job neither allowing any ci-cd pipeline to run.
The reason is an untagged runner. If the runner is untagged than an user cant mention the tag name under "tags" keyword in .gitlab-ci.yml file and hence the runner wont pick any job.
In case of untagger runner the job will be pick up by any of the shared runner available on gitlab for all the users and the ci cd pipeline will be executed where the shared runner has been installed and registered and not on the machine where an user wants to deploy it.
