EASIEST Way To Learn Webflow (Less Than One Month!)
Today, I am going to teach you how to become a Webflow expert in less than one month. This is the exact same process I used to teach myself Webflow a few years ago, never having designed a website in my life. Follow these steps, and within the next month you will have enough Webflow knowledge to begin taking on freelancing work or even begin building out your own agency!
First we are going to familiarize ourselves with Webflow by taking the Webflow 101 Crash Course. This is going to give us a nice broad overview of all that Webflow has to offer: the different native elements, positioning, styling etc. Sit back and enjoy the lessons! Next, we are going to teach ourselves Flexbox by playing Webflow's Flexbox game. This will allow us to easily position elements inside of other elements and really unlock the ease of use that sets Webflow apart from its competitors.
Then, we are going to clone a website from Webflow's marketplace and begin deconstructing and tinkering inside that pre-built website. This way we familiarize ourselves with the UI of Webflow and the basics of adding and removing elements from the page.
Next, we are going to find a website that we think looks nice, and reconstruct it. Use all their styles, fonts, images, etc and rebuild the website exactly as you see it. Through this building process you should begin to meld together everything you've learned so far and apply it in real time to the building of your site. This is the most crucial step and the one that will help you the most in the long run.
Finally, we are going to go "inspect" the page of a website so that we can peek under the hood of web development and begin to visualize how these websites are built: just div blocks inside of other div blocks with classes attached to them for styling. In this step, we are looking for an a-ha moment where we are able to begin visualizing the code needed to build a website. At this point, you will be well on your way to Webflow mastery.
