POPCORN
Popcorn was first made by Native Americans thousands of years ago. To produce effective popcorn, a distinctive type of corn grain is required known as popcorn (in the classification known as Zea mays Everta Group). Corn kernels are usually small with the floury part completely covered by the hard part. As a result, when heated, the water vapor in the starchy part will press against the hard part. At the same time, there are physical changes in the hard parts that tend to soften. Finally, at a certain pressure point, an explosion will occur because of the pressure of the steam from within.
