How To Remove Background In Canva (And Add White Border!)
Today, I am going to show you how to use Canva to easily remove the background of your images and to add a nice white outline to your image. This will be very helpful for novice thumbnail designers who would like to make their images in their thumbnails 'pop' off the screen.
I am someone who has no eye for design. I am awful at it! However, Canva is the best solution I've ever used for a quick and easy design solution. With Canva, you can easily drag and drop different elements onto your design, add custom color palettes, and access thousands of different graphics all for free use in your designs. It has really helped me unlock the creative side of my brain and given me a great, free solution to all of my design woes.
One of my favorite parts about Canva is its "remove background" feature. With a single click, Canva can remove the background of your images in less than 3 seconds. No more having to manually remove the background using other native solutions that require you to possess the hand-eye coordination of a cardiac surgeon. It really is amazing. This is a Canva "Pro" feature, so you will need to have a Pro account. I have linked below to a 30 Day Free Trial that you can access to remove the background of your images without having to pay.
Further, Canva offers different apps that we can use to edit and customize the images within our design. One of these apps is called 'shadows' and we are going to use this solution to give our image a clean, crisp white outline that will help our image 'pop' out off the screen. Similarly to the 'remove background' feature, we can do all of this in just a few clicks.
Today, we are going to use Canva to quickly and easily remove the background of our image and to add a white outline to our image. We are going to create this effect in 2 steps: 1) Use Canva's 'remove background' feature. 2) Use Canva's 'Shadow' app to add our white outline. After this is completed, we will have a beautiful background-less image with a clean white border that can help set our thumbnails apart from the rest. Let's do it!
